A good selection of facilities are housed within the terminals of Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), with restaurants, coffee shops, clothing stores and newsagents all available should you have time on your hands.
The Midfield Terminal is the main airport terminal and is divided into separate areas - Landside and Airside, being shaped rather like a large cross and centered around the Airmall. Passengers at Pittsburgh Airport can take advantage of the computerized Flight Desk kiosks, when you can actually check yourself in (participating airlines only) and then print out a boarding pass, before heading to the checkpoint for security. If you are traveling with bags that require checking, it will still be necessary to visit the relevant ticket counter.

Pittsburgh Airport information desks are situated in both the Landside Terminal, close to the baggage reclaim area, and in the Airside Terminal, on the transit level. Customer service representatives staff these desks and can assist passengers in relation to flight queries, transport requirements and lost items.
Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets
Central to the airside terminal is the Airmall (in the 'Center Core'), where a large selection of shops await passengers and travelers with time on their hands. Choose between more than 35 different stores, such as Bijoux Terner, Bon Voyage, Brighton Collectibles, Brookstone, Crocs, the Gap, GNC, Godiva Chocolatier, Hudson Booksellers, Hudson News, Paradies Travel Mart and Soxx Shop.
Bars, Cafés and Restaurants
The PIT Airmall is the best place to come if you are in need of refreshment, with a choice of restaurants (waited service) such as O'Brien's Grille & Pub, Sam Adams 'Celebrates Pittsburgh' and TGI Friday's (Broadroom, Cafe and Restaurant). For fast-food, a coffee or a simple snack, Charley's Steakery, Mayorga Coffee Roasters, McDonald's, Nature's Kitchen (Center Core, Concourse D and Landside) and Quiznos and Subway.

A full-service bank is located in the Landside Terminal. ATMs are spread all through the airport, while Travelex is on hand (Landside and Airside) for currency exchange and other business amenities.

Business facilities are located at the Travelex Center in the Landside Terminal building. There are meeting rooms and extensive conferencing capabilities at the onsite Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh Airport Hotel, which is connected by walkways. Free WI-FI access is provided all through the airside concourses
Disabled Facilities
The needs of disabled passengers are certainly met at Pittsburgh Airport, with spaces reserved for disabled drivers, phones for those with hearing problems, family assistance restrooms (Landside Transit) and a relief area for service animals. Visual paging, a porter service (via your airline of the information desks) and elevators complete the main facilities onsite.

Other facilities at PIT include a lost and found office, traveler's aids, chapel, 'Smart Cart' luggage carts, and paramedics, providing first aid services for medical emergencies. Of note, smoking is not allowed anywhere in the terminals.
